Retailer Mattress Direct Inc. is facing a string of eviction lawsuits for locations around the St. Louis metro. Landlords have filed suit in recent months against the retailer, which entered the market in 2011, according to a previous report. An entity tied to Dierbergs Markets last month sued Mattress Direct in St. Charles County Circuit Court, alleging it had failed to pay $55,043 in rent and late fees dating to September last year for property at 1800 Wentzville Parkway in Wentzville. Mattress Direct, whose lease stipulated monthly payments of $5,000-plus, owes future rent of $394,611, Dierbergs alleged.
