JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) The Missouri Department of Transportation announced in a Tuesday press release that it will be holding public meetings to discuss its Statewide Improve I-70 Program. Missouri's FY2024 includes $2.8 billion to build a third lane of Interstate 70 across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add three lanes in each direction on approximately 200 miles of the interstate from Blue Springs to Wentzville, the release states. The release states the meetings will be 'open-house style,' meaning no formal presentations will be made.
